Please read this before acting on anything here
myrtobuddy.com is an independent, informational guide. It is not a government website, and using it does not replace checking the official portal yourself.
Not a government website
MyRTOBuddy is an independently run informational website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Parivahan, Vahan, any state RTO, or any other government body. All official applications, payments, and transactions should be completed only on the relevant government portal, never through this site.
Accuracy of information
Checked carefully, kept up to date
Every guide is checked against the official source at the time of writing, and re-checked whenever there’s reason to believe something has changed, as described in the Editorial Policy. Government portals do update their fees, forms, and requirements from time to time, sometimes without much notice, so there’s always a small chance a detail here shifts before I catch it.
The official portal has the final word
Before paying any fee or relying on any timeline mentioned here, it’s worth a quick check against the official government portal. If the two ever disagree, go with what the official portal says, and let me know so I can update the guide.
Not legal or professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or professional advice. It is general information about how a process typically works. Individual cases can differ, and for anything specific to your situation, the official portal, an RTO office, or a qualified professional is the right source, not this website.
External links
Guides link out to official government portals and, occasionally, other external sources. MyRTOBuddy has no control over the content, availability, or accuracy of external sites, and linking to one is not an endorsement beyond it being the correct official source for that process.
If something goes wrong
Every guide is written and checked carefully, using the process described in the Editorial Policy. Even so, government portals can change a fee, a form, or a step after a guide is published, and neither MyRTOBuddy nor the person who writes it can control that. Because of this, MyRTOBuddy can’t be held responsible for a delay, rejected application, fee, or penalty that results from a portal change made after publishing.
If something here doesn’t match what you see on the official portal, the official portal is always the correct one to follow, and I’d genuinely appreciate hearing about it so the guide can be fixed for the next person.
