How every guide on MyRTOBuddy gets written and checked

This page explains where the information comes from, how it’s verified, and what myrtobuddy.com will and won’t do with it. Written by Rovin Singh, who writes and checks every guide on this site.

Where the information comes from

Every guide is based only on official sources: the Parivahan and Vahan portals, individual state RTO or transport department websites, and official government notifications. MyRTOBuddy does not base guides on forum posts, unofficial blogs, or secondhand accounts of “what worked” for someone else.

If a fee, timeline, or step cannot be confirmed directly on an official source, it is left out of the guide rather than estimated or guessed at.

How each guide is verified

The same four steps, every time, before anything gets published.

1

Run it on the real portal

I go through the actual government site myself and record exactly what happens, not what the site claims happens.

2

Capture the tricky screens

Screenshots go in wherever a step is easy to get wrong or the portal’s own wording is unclear.

3

Re-check after every change

When a portal redesigns or a rule shifts, the guide is redone the same week and the update date is refreshed.

4

Publish only what’s confirmed

If a fee or step can’t be confirmed on the source itself, it stays out rather than being guessed at.

Corrections and updates

Government portals change without notice, and a step that was accurate last month can be outdated today. If you spot something that’s changed, incorrect, or unclear, you can report it through the Contact page. Every message is read personally, and corrections are usually made within a few days of being reported and confirmed.

Guides do not carry a fixed “review schedule.” Instead, they are re-verified whenever there’s reason to believe something may have changed: a reader report, a known portal update, or a change in government policy.

Editorial independence

No paid placement

No guide, step, or recommendation on MyRTOBuddy is influenced by payment. There is no paid placement, no sponsored steps, and no agent, dealer, or service provider pays to be recommended anywhere on this site.

No agent or lead-generation relationships

MyRTOBuddy does not partner with agents, facilitators, or “express service” providers, and does not sell leads to anyone claiming to speed up a government process. Every guide points directly to the official portal.

Advertising is separated from content

If ads appear on this site, they are served independently of the editorial content and play no role in what steps a guide recommends or which portal it links to.

What this site is not

  • MyRTOBuddy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government department, the Parivahan portal, or any RTO.
  • MyRTOBuddy does not process applications, accept payments on anyone’s behalf, or check the status of an individual’s license, RC, or challan.
  • Nothing on this site is legal advice. For a situation specific to you, the official portal or your local RTO is the authoritative source.
  • Guides reflect the process as it existed at the time of writing or last verification. Always confirm current fees and requirements on the official portal before acting.
